NYC Wedding Photography – Event Week Day 1

Hey everyone! Happy Wedding Wednesday! We took a few days off from blogging since there were so many networking events and parties we wanted to go to. This first event I went to was the 12-12-12 vendor appreciation event by Fallon from Fallon Carter Weddings. She collaborated with Corrin and Kim from Patina Vintage Rentals to throw an amazingly stylish vendor appreciation party. Fallon did a fabulous job with decorating and Patina has so many great vintage pieces that added to her style (or anyone’s style!).  I got to see many vendors I already knew and have collaborated with like Makini from Makini Regal Designs, Laura from Royal Photobooth, among so many others.  There were assorted cheeses, chocolates (omg!), bubbly, and even a xylophone player!! It was such a fun night!

And of course, I try to take every opportunity and turn it into a glamor shoot. Below you will see Fallon as my gorgeous model. With all of the images, I used a vintage wash to add to the vintage decor. We have so much in store for the new year! 12/21/12 can’t possibly be doomsday LOL Enjoy!

PS
Fallon, your shots came out fabulous girl!! 🙂

PPSMakini, your earrings were amazing!

Have an awesome day everyone!

NYC Wedding Photography – Wedding Wednesday!

Today, I finally did it! I checked off a very important item off of my bucket list. I just made some Mangu con Cebolla, fried salami and fried cheese that is better than my moms! But please, please don’t tell her I said that!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mangu is a traditional Dominican dish that I have been struggling for years to make. (Here’s a pic of what it looks like). Its something that my mom makes almost every day of the week so yeah, big deal for me. And big plus points ***Johnathan Approved***

Anyways, Happy #WeddingWednesday everyone! Today I’m going to switch things up and turn our attention to the groom.  I love looking at and photographing what the groom’s wear on their day because it’s something that’s a bit foreign to me. No matter what the groom wears, their style will usually be more rugged and will contrast the bride’s dress so much. Here are a few ideas for black tie attire which I love.

Have an awesome day!

NYC Wedding Photography – We’ve Been Featured

We’re so excited to be featured in another blog. I love the way Partese Blog described my images and Cecilia and Joel’s wedding. Take a look here…

Cecilia Joel Wedding

Adorable twosome Cecelia and Joel tied the knot in an intimate New York wedding, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The ceremony took place outdoors with red brick and lush green plants serving as the backdrop, as Cecilia said “I do” in a gorgeous vintage 50’s inspired tea-length gown and a birdcage veil, adding a little modern glam with gold sparkly heels. Joel donned a light blue suit with a blue and yellow patterned tie, and the bridesmaids were done up in yellow and silver dresses. Adding a personal touch to her bouquet of white tulips, Cecilia carried a small frame with a picture of a dear loved one on the stems.

The bright, cheery yellow of the bridesmaid dress and the groomsman’s tie, inspired by the blazing summer sun, was brought into the lovely wedding reception at F&J Pine Restaurant, starting with the ever-appropriate yellow walls and the natural sunlight pouring through the windows. Eye-catching yellow blooms, including roses and sunflowers, burst from square glass vases tied up in a bright yellow ribbon, bringing a vibrant and modern touch to the white clad tables. The table numbers were given a fanciful personal touch as well, with guests sitting at various NYC locales like the 96 Street Station! The wedding party took their seats at a rectangular table facing the guests, with the bride and groom’s chairs donning chic little “Mr.” and “Mrs.” signs while a charming square banner with yellow borders proclaiming “Happily Ever After” hung across the front of the table. The joyful couple hit the dance floor with their friends and fam, and together they cut into their sweet modern three-tiered white wedding cake with yellow detailing and an oversized bright yellow flower, topped with an adorable modern bride and groom cake topper.
